Kevin Knox injury update: Knicks rookie anticipated to miss 2-4

  • Knicks rookie Kevin Knox was carried from the court within the first quarter of Saturday's 103-101 loss from the NBA Mobile Coins Celtics using a sprained left ankle.
The 19-year-old forward is required to miss a couple of weeks while using injury, in line with The Athletic. Coach David Fizdale said after the action X-Rays returned negative, though he wasn't certain if Knox would require an MRI.
Knox was driving for just a layup if your injury happened. His ankle did actually roll while being fouled by Terry Rozier III, but Knox couldn't shoot the free throws and was disqualified on the rest with the game, per NBA rules.
Knox, the No. 9 overall pick inside the 2018 draft, is coming off of the bench for New York. He is averaging 9.3 points through three games this holiday season.
The Knicks (1-2) might be facing an enormous loss if Knox fades for an extended time frame as New York is already without All-Star forward Kristaps Porzingis as they recovers from ACL surgery.
