  • "Luckily the passion that fuelled those first months was with me for the last couple of years of work, and being able to work closely with Jagex to directly tackle this is the ultimate dream OSRS Gold," he says. "I never imagined that I would ever receive the support of the very studio which inspired me in the beginning.

Making the leap from hobby into fan project was obviously a daunting task however, looking back at where I've ended up and the support I've received from the beginning of Games by Malcs as an up-and-coming studio, it has certainly paid off for the most successful."

Despite the close relationship in Melvor Idle and RuneScape, and the involvement direct of Jagex, the publisher opted to keep the game as an original IP instead of launch it as an official RuneScape spin-off. In part, this was an acknowledgement of the fact that Malcolm was successful where Jagex did not.

"We actually did look at the idea of creating some kind of idle RuneScape game a number of years ago, but it was not until RuneScape: Idle Adventures," Pfeiffer says. "In Alpha, we stopped development to concentrate upon the core RuneScape games.

We've always believed in that RuneScape has a lot of potential in the idle game space. Melvor Idle proves that RuneScape can be a great idle game. But Melvor Idle stands up on its own merits as well in addition to our desire to remain loyal to the ideals for it that Brendan did when he first started designing his game."

Pfeiffer also points to the success of Melvor Idle as proof that talent can come from any game's community, something Jagex has already seen. "We've always observed the RuneScape game community a fantastic opportunity for talent at Jagex and not just in the realm of game developers but every role in a games studio cheap rs07 gold," he states. "RuneScape has seen over 300 million accounts created in over 20 years. This means that the number of skilled players that have played the game is enormous."
